1. Who We Are

Professor H1 (trading as professorh1.ie) is a Leaving Certificate AI tutoring service operated by an individual sole trader based in Ireland. We are subject to Irish and EU data protection law including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. What Data We Collect

Account data: When you register, we collect your email address and a hashed (encrypted) password. We never store your password in plain text.

Usage data: We record which subjects you study and how many questions you ask, solely to enforce free-tier limits and improve the service.

Payment data: Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card details. Stripe is PCI-DSS compliant. We receive only a confirmation that payment was made.

Device data: We may collect basic technical information (browser type, device type) for security and to improve mobile experience. We do not sell this data.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use your data solely to: provide and improve the Professor H1 service; manage your account and subscription; send service-related emails (account confirmation, password reset); and comply with legal obligations. We do not use your data for advertising and we do not sell it to any third party, ever.

4. AI-Generated Content

Questions you submit to Professor H1 are sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate responses. Anthropic processes these queries according to their own privacy policy. We recommend you do not include personal identifying information in your study questions.

5. Cookies

We use only essential cookies required for the service to function — specifically, to keep you logged in. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. No cookie consent banner is required for essential cookies under GDPR.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

7. Your Rights Under GDPR

You have the right to: access the data we hold about you; correct inaccurate data; delete your account and data; export your data in a portable format; withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, email us at [email protected].

We use Supabase (database and authentication), Stripe (payments), Anthropic (AI), and Vercel (hosting). Each operates under their own privacy policies. All are GDPR-compliant services.

Professor H1 (professorh1.ie) provides an AI-powered Leaving Certificate study tool. Answers are generated by artificial intelligence and are intended as study aids only. They do not constitute official SEC guidance and should not be treated as guaranteed exam answers.

2. AI Disclaimer

All answers on Professor H1 are AI-generated. While we have trained the system on SEC past papers and marking schemes and taken reasonable steps to ensure accuracy, AI can make mistakes. We strongly recommend verifying important information against your textbook, teacher, or official SEC materials. Professor H1 accepts no liability for errors in AI-generated content.

3. Accounts

You must provide a valid email address to create an account. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. One account per person — sharing accounts is not permitted.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

Monthly plan (€12/month): Billed monthly, cancel anytime. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

Exam Season pass (€22): One-time payment. Access granted until 23rd June 2026. No refund after this date has passed.

All prices include VAT where applicable. Payments processed securely by Stripe.

5. Right of Cancellation (EU Law)

Under EU consumer law, you have the right to cancel a digital subscription within 14 days of purchase and receive a full refund, provided you have not used the service. If you have used the service (i.e. asked questions), your right to a refund may be limited. To request a cancellation, email [email protected] within 14 days of purchase.

6. Referral Programme

The referral programme is offered at our discretion and may be modified or ended at any time. Referral rewards (free months) are applied to your account and have no cash value. Abuse of the referral system (e.g. fake accounts) will result in account termination.

7. Acceptable Use

You may not use Professor H1 to generate content for commercial resale, attempt to reverse-engineer the service, share your account with others, or use the service in any way that violates Irish or EU law.

8. Intellectual Property

The Professor H1 platform, branding, and system design are the property of the operator. Past paper content originates from the State Examinations Commission and is used for educational reference purposes.

9. Limitation of Liability

Professor H1 is provided as an educational aid. We accept no liability for exam results, academic outcomes, or decisions made based on AI-generated content. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 30 days preceding any claim.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered users by email of any material changes. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ireland. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts.
